I am so excited to be back on the Perfect Pattern Parcel #3 tour today!
Here at Perfect Pattern Parcel, we believe in supporting independent pattern designers. It’s our opinion that indie patterns are just, well, better than big box patterns, and we’re pretty sure our customers think so too. So, we allow customers to show their support in naming their own price for each Parcel. We also encourage customers to allocate part of their Parcel price to the charity Donorschoose.org in order to help classrooms in need. Pattern Parcel donates all profits after expenses from Parcel sales to the charity as well. Together we’ve raised almost $4,500 towards eliminating educational inequality.
Pretty amazing, right? Each parcel contains a group of fantastic patterns, you choose your price, and profits go to charity. If you’d like to partake as well, click on this button to go through to the sale and get your hands on this awesome bundle of patterns, including the Staple Dress!
I made a beautiful maxi dress with this pattern last week that I shared here, and I just had to show you this one as well.
My favorite thing about this dress is that it is so versatile. I wore it to church in the morning, and then to the park all day long. It’s dressy enough to wear with heels but I wore it at the park with brightly colored flat sandals because I cannot walk in heels. Which is why I am standing still or sitting in all of these pictures. 🙂 But I kept thinking that if it got cool I would throw a denim jacket on top with my sandals and that would be perfect. Right?
But my other favorite thing is the pockets. Maybe you can tell?
Chelsea was like, “Take your hands out of your pockets.” and I was like, “No.” So that’s that.
I imagine this fabric might seem bland compared to the large floral that I had last time, but I love it. It’s that perfect bright coral color that you want in the summer time. I just can’t wait to to wear it when I have a tan.
Unlike the maxi version, this dress I made pretty close to the pattern. I used a contrasting minty aqua on the neckband that I left peeking out just slightly when I did the topstitching. The only modifications that I made was adding a concealed waistband instead of shirring the waist, but that’s just a matter of preference.
I love this pattern.
I still have another version to share, in addition to some shorts or two, so please stop by later this week or follow along with me on Bloglovin’.
